Wednesday, August 2, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., King County ECC, Renton, WA

The Workshop will provide an overview of the Ready Business Power Outage Toolkit and the Ready Business QuakeSmart Toolkit. Participants will be able review and implement business continuity planning and mitigation project plans through the simple, step-by-step planning tools in the power outage and earthquake toolkit.

Why is this important? Did you know that 75% of small businesses without a business continuity plan in place won’t reopen after a large-scale disaster? Organizations, large and small, are at risk – as are your employees, customers, and the community you serve.

The good news is that the actions to protect your organization, employees and customers are simple, scalable, and many are affordable to implement. These actions will also help you to recover quicker should disaster strike.

To assist you, the Workshop will:

  • Review easy actions you can take before, during, and after disasters;
  • Provide experts to explain earthquake and power outage risks specific to King County;
  • Explain the level of support you can expect from your local emergency management agency if a large-scale disaster occurs; and
  • Provide simple materials and helpful links to additional resources.

Regardless of your experience level in preparing for disasters, this FREE Workshop is for you – please join us!
